The common points of the tales brought together in this book are that, in addition to impossible loves, they add voice to the voice of Anatolia, Mesopotamia and the special Dersim geography with everything, and reveal the lives of the Armenian and Kurdish people. The first two tales in the selection, 'Siyamanto and Xicezare' and 'Lur da Lur', are Kurdish folk legends that have come a long way from the first teller to the last recorder. While the master writer of Armenian village literature and cleric Karekin Srvantzdyants was traveling around the region, he also made the popular love story of the Kurdish people, 'Siyamanto and Xicezare', a part of written literature. Vrtanes Papazyan immortalized a well-known Kurdish love story by telling it in Armenian. This effort must be evidence that geographical commonality overcomes prejudices based on ethnic identity. Because the love of the shared land is great and the hopeless love of the noble girl and the shepherd is universal... The last tale, King Lusig and Sedev Hovig, is the story of the love of a nobleman and the shepherd. However, in a way we are not used to, this time it is a woman who is a shepherd. Moreover, at the beginning of the tale, she is not the most beautiful woman at all. On the contrary, it is described as a freak creature. The story of Sedev becoming beautiful progresses in parallel with her parents accepting their daughter as she is, and her shepherd skills are considered much more valuable than her beauty. Moreover, both King Lusig and Sedev Hovig are going through an almost neck-and-neck process of self-discovery. Therefore, in this extraordinary tale, there are two Odysseus, one male and one female, and two different journeys.
