Edib Ahmed Yükseknekî (approximately the end of the 11th century - the first half of the 12th century): Very little information can be found about the poet, whose name is stated in his work as Edib Ahmed, his birthplace is Yükseknek, and his father's name is Mahmud-ı Yükseknekî. It is estimated that he knew Arabic and Persian, and it is said that he was blind in the section that was thought to have been added to the work later. Like the date of birth and death, the location of Yuknek province has not been determined with certainty. Atebetü'l-Hakayık, one of the few works from the first period of written Turkish literature that has survived to the present day, is one of the rare examples of Karakhanid period Turkish, also called the Hakaniye dialect, and has a special importance in the history of Turkish literature. Atebetü'l-Hakayık, written in Uyghur Turkish and aruz meter, was arranged in a way that could be easily understood and remembered, and was gifted by its author to Great Emir Dad Sipehsâlâr Bey.
