The Threepenny Novel
Brecht, The Threepenny Novel Brecht, born on February 10, 1898, is the most important of the greatest poets, writers, theater actors and theorists of the 20th century German literature. Brecht, who displays the rotten boards in the wheels of order with a subtle sarcasm, is a strong writer and poet as well as a theorist who brought great innovations to contemporary theater art. He fled his country during the Nazi period, continued his studies in Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Soviet Union, the USA and Switzerland, and returned home in 1948. The "Berliner Ensemble" group, which he founded in Berlin with his wife, the great actress Helene Weigel, and where they carried out Brecht's theses on epic theater, has gained worldwide fame and is considered one of the most successful theater groups in the world. Brecht is an indisputable writer with his poems as well as his plays "Mother Courage", "The Good Person of Caesarea", "Mr. Puntila and His Man Matti", "Fear and Misery of the Third Reich", and most of all his theater theses. And in his own words: He writes for "readers' consumption." We believe that this novel, which successfully reflects the author's thoughts and worldview, will meet the "needs of the readers".
