Since the second century of the Hijri, efforts to record hadiths in writing have intensified. In the beginning, the aim was to Hz. It was the recording of the hadiths of the Prophet (pbuh) in any way possible to avoid the danger of being lost. In the third century of the Hijri, classification activities were initiated in order to make more efficient use of these hadiths collected in written form. Studies on the identification and verification of narrations ended in the fifth century of the Hijri, and after that, studies on tahzîb gained more importance.

While completing this study, we realized that we had to limit ourselves in some aspects and felt the need to record the history of hadith through narration, and we named this work in your hand the History of Hadith Narration. By recording this issue through narration, we aimed to remain free of two issues related to the history of hadith. Firstly, topics related to the history of hadith were limited to the fifth century of the Hijri, when hadith narrations were completed and the works were mostly classified. Thus, his history and works after the fifth century Hijri were excluded from the scope of this study. Secondly, instead of all the subjects in the history of hadith, it has become sufficient to examine the subjects that are directly or indirectly but very closely related to the narration. Even though it is not in the field of Hadith history, I pray for all my teachers and colleagues who have had the right and contributed to the creation of this work, which can be considered the first in the field of Hadith Narration History.
