Golgotha road, Hz. It symbolizes the arduous path that Jesus took, carrying the heavy cross on his back. Krikor Balakyan symbolizes the arduous long march of forced migration, which turned into genocide in 1915, with the Golgotha metaphor and, in a sense, blesses the destroyed Armenian people. Balakyan, an architect, tries to overcome the severe trauma he experienced by devoting himself to religion and the recovery of his surviving people.

The Armenian Golgotha reflects the spirit of the period very well in many respects and helps us understand the period and the many different dimensions of the event. Because the narrative begins with impressions from the city of Berlin, where mass war hysteria dominates. Then we witness the same war hysteria reflected on the streets of Istanbul. And then the testimonies of writers, poets, journalists, publishers, intellectuals and social leaders about the famous 24 April Operation and the mood afterwards.

The Balakyan group consists of the last survivors of the April 24 operation, which forced them from exile to deportation in 1916, and Armenian businessmen and notables are predominant in this group. Perhaps the reason why Balakyan was sent last is his connection with Germany. A year later, walking through the ruins on the deportation roads where those terrible atrocities took place and being face to face with those who committed these massacres makes Balakyan's narrative much more valuable.

On the other hand, we also witness the existence of remaining resistance groups trying to save people. This is how it is possible to stay alive.
Its even more interesting testimony is the pages that reflect very well the mood of Istanbul in the first days of the Armistice period. People of all colors of Istanbul were watching the Allied fleet, which could not overcome Çanakkale with a war, enter Istanbul...
