JEAN TEULÉ, born in 1953, is a French cartoonist and writer. Teulé, who became popular with the cartoons he started drawing in magazines in 1978, also worked for television. His cartoons and comics, which he published in various magazines, were compiled in more than ten books. Following his first literary work, Rainbow pour Rimbaud, in 1991 - which was also adapted into a movie in 1996 - he has published 13 books to date. The Suicide Shop was also adapted into the cinema as a feature-length animation by the French director Patrice Leconte.
