Kürt-Azeri Iğdır Cumhuriyeti
This book brings you sections from the lives of two brotherly people who were intertwined in a place called Iğdır, behind Mount Kaf. I know you haven't heard the name Iğdır much. I would like to help you. Turn your direction to the east, always go that way. You will reach a large plain on the northern slope of the magnificent Mount Ararat, in the easternmost part of Turkey. That is the Iğdır plain. It is a fertile plain. Cotton, apricots, apples and all kinds of fruits grow. Vegetables are also diverse. Animal husbandry is done in the plateaus surrounding it. Half of the population is Azeri and half is Kurdish. Its people understand and speak three languages easily. The people are respectful and hospitable. If one day you happen to be in Iğdır, that is, the Kurdish-Azerbaijani Republic of Iğdır, be sure to meet the people of these two exceptional people living on my ancestral lands, embrace them, they will embrace you anyway.
