Marxın Orkestrası
Marx is more than just a name-becoming; even though he now appears only as the author of a series of theoretical texts, he is a part of a great fight, a part of the machine that took action to change the world, and by bringing these parts together in a unique way, he did not refrain from acting for the political possibilities of historical transformation during his time. is one. It is both him and the others who have contributed to a struggle named after him. The title - MARX'S ORCHESTRA - which invites us to think of a singular name together with a plurality (orchestra) tells us that, before we even start reading, it sees the class struggle as a collectivity consisting of different voices and instruments.
Each of the articles written by ten different authors shapes the subject it chooses within its own spatiality and historicity, while also drawing a map of intersecting paths. When we finish reading all of them, we see that these multi-site scenes are united by the synchronicity of the revolutionary struggle. Ireland's freedom struggle, workers' movements in England, rising social movements in Germany and France, and the skylines of other countries in the background. At the center stand Marx and Engels, who came into contact with a large number of people through forced displacement and were involved - physically or intellectually - in movements that took place in different places.
