Menderes Irmağın Gölgesi
One of the important problems of our day is being blamed, excluded and harassed in a society. It is difficult to predict when, by whom and for what a person or an object will be accused or subjected to harassment (mobbing). Visible or secret witnesses may accuse a person in the family or at work of unthinkable things, such as stealing the shadow of a river. Although the person can clear himself with great effort, he experiences difficulties in his relationship with his environment and the world. In the novel, our hero, İsmail, the son of İbrahim, who experiences similar difficulties, decides to walk the entire length of the Menderes River, starting from its source, although he does not know the exact reason. During this journey, he tries to come to terms with all his experiences as far as he remembers and similar problems that humanity has experienced, and tries to make sense of them. Ismail, the son of Ibrahim, draws similarities between himself and the Menderes River and some people in history, and as a result, when he reaches the point where the river reaches the sea, he makes an unexpected decision that will change his entire life.
