İvan İlyiç'in Ölümü
Two more weeks passed. Ivan Ilyich no longer got up from the sofa. He slept on the couch because he didn't want to sleep in bed. He almost always lay with his face against the wall, alone, suffering the same helpless pain and always thinking the same insoluble question: "What is this? Or is it really death?" A voice inside him answered: "Yes, it is." He asked again: "So why all this pain?" The same voice answered: "That's right. There's no reason. That was all, there was nothing more."
