  • He examines state mentalities through the saying, "First of all, the state is a matter of mentality." When discussing the issue of "state", the focus is on its mentality rather than its concrete dimensions. For this reason, in parallel with the material/concrete developments in social life, changes in the spiritual/mental field are discussed. Since the phenomenon of the state is the subject that thinkers, philosophers, politicians and statesmen have focused on the most throughout history, the important issue for us is the issue of how the state defines who and how. Our authors, Ali Koç and Umut Beyaz, in their book "From the Master State to the Democratic Society", after examining all historical developments, the Democratic Confederalism system is highlighted as an alternative model. They explain the fact that Democratic Confederalism, as a new and not yet implemented system, is the only system for a world where humanity is free and peaceful, without unlimited exploitation.
