Viking Mitleri-Nesir Edda
The Prose Edda is a compilation of Scandinavian myths. Icelandic historian, poet, jurist and political leader Snorri Sturluson, in the early 13th century, brought together the legends that had been told in poetic form among the Scandinavian people for centuries, by putting them into prose, and compiled them into a book. Snorri Sturluson is to the Scandinavians what Herodotus or Thucydides are to the ancient Greek people. Thanks to him, narratives about important events that were recorded in the imagination of the Scandinavian people have survived to this day. A unique source about Norse cosmogony and pantheon, the Prose Edda is a very important text for mythology enthusiasts and researchers.
