Although it is a memoir in this respect, it is also a book with a strong autobiographical aspect, in which GÜRBÜZ conveys his personal experiences and memories...
As is known, İbrahim GÜRBÜZ, as an intellectual of the Kurdish nation to which he belongs, is not only one of the prominent subjects of the Kurdish political struggle of the 1970s, but also one of the prominent founding subjects within the Kurdish democratic struggle and the institutional-cultural enlightenment movement that flourished especially during the 1990s.
If I were to explain some of my thoughts about GÜRBÜZ, whom I think I got to know much better than before thanks to his life story, his experiences, his stance against difficult processes, in short, thanks to this book, without praising him, I would say the following: İbrahim GÜRBÜZ is a person who has had a deep consciousness and a real individual identity since his early youth that can save him from being confined to the boundaries drawn by the life he is born into, classical social norms, and politics. Thanks to this consciousness molded with Kurdishness and progressive human values, he is an intellectual who refrains from resembling his enemy, who is uncompromising against all kinds of power, as well as being able to exhibit a creative resistance against limitations and difficulties, and who has proven to be a visionary.
