Mehmed Uzun is the most important of the first conscious steps in the modernization of the Kurdish novel. From another perspective, it can be said that he updated the Kurdish novel that started with Erebê Şemo. In a period when millions of speakers and Kurdish were ignored and almost wanted to be erased from life, he created a literature, a literary language and readers from his own ashes, in his own words. Mehmed Uzun's life is tragic, just like his novels. At this point, Can Ade created his biography by blending Uzun's life with his novels.
He looked at his life from his novels, and from his life to his novels. He combined the two with his own thoughts and feelings. Thus, he did the most extreme thing a reader can do. A portrait of Mehmed Uzun emerged through Can Ade's eyes.
