Dressing in Abalar was written by İbrahim b., who lived in the seventh century AD. It is the narrative of Ethem's journey, starting from the city of Balkh and extending to cities such as Nishapur, Mecca, Basra and Jerusalem, and the contemporaries he encountered along the way who lived a similar life. In the words of Yunus Emre, İbrahim b. Ethem and his contemporaries Abdullah b. Mubarak, Fudayl b. Iyad, Malik b.
