Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, who stepped into the Turkish literature scene with the poems, stories, articles and criticism he wrote in magazines with great productivity in the first half of the twentieth century, is among our most important literary figures with his novels, stories, essays, plays and memories. In terms of stylistic features, the works produced by Yakup Kadri from 1910 to 1974 reflect all the phases that Turkish has gone through. The richness of subjects and ideas of his works is no less than the diversity of linguistic features. Yakup Kadri's writing, which began under the influence of French literature, gained a unique voice after the 1920s and turned towards political and sociological issues, history, period conflicts and individual psychology examinations. The works of Karaosmanoğlu, a writer who grew up after Fecr-i Ati but struggled with the novel technique to weave social conditions, historical processes and individual portraits into the fabric of the novel for the following fifty years, are a rich "panorama" whose details, which have not yet been exhausted, need to be discussed and examined.
