An Island Story from Halki to Heybeli

"Istanbul was the earliest and fastest Turkified people among the Islands. The fact that the schools and facilities and the sanatorium belonging to the Naval Forces, which have existed on the Island since the 19th century, provided job opportunities for many Turks and enabled them to settle here, accelerated this process.
In this work, I tried to describe the Greek People with their schools, churches, monasteries, cemeteries, social life and people who are now lost to history. With the expulsion of Greek citizens from Turkey in 1964 and the subsequent migration of Greeks to Greece, numerous workplaces and houses in Halki changed owners; The ethnic structure of the island has undergone radical changes.
From now on, there is Heybeliada, not a People whose story can be told."
