Melekler de Ölür
On the one hand, lives were ruined in the nightmare cities turned into fire places by the "Satires", and on the other hand, lives were destroyed in the villages burned and destroyed by the "Antichrist"...
Angels Also Die is a novel of a city and a period that makes you think about many experiences that some people know and some people think they know, with sections from the lives of the two main characters.
With his poetic language, Ilhami Sidar allows us to look at what happened in Diyarbakir in the 1990s through the experiences of Gulistan, Vedat, their friends and their families, and on the other hand, it reminds us once again that while one side of the country was burning, those living in the other side had the "option" of remaining deaf; Writer Nejat Marmara, who came to Diyarbakir from Istanbul with Gulistan's insistence, cannot get Vedat's lines out of his mind after seeing the city: "The belly of your poetry is bursting there, Our tongues cannot say enough..."
