Antep's Struggle for Existence

What has been told and conveyed about the Battle of Antep so far has remained on a very nationalist scale, the events have been 'constructed' through a nationalist and heroic language and have not gone beyond an epic discourse of 'the honorable and just struggle of the Turks of Antep'. In his book titled Antep's Struggle for Existence, Gesar discussed all aspects of the Battle of Antep and recorded in detail all the events that took place between April 1, 1920 and December 1921. Because Gesar took an active part in this war and took on important duties in the defense line of the Armenians. This translated work of A. Gesar offers us a 'different' and 'alternative' perspective. More importantly, it reflects the Battle of Antep from the language and voice of the 'victim'.
