Armenian Ethical Society 1912-1922 Book Description The great hope of liberation that surrounded the capital of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century was destroyed within a few years by the Balkan and World War I. Could the Armenian society, which embraced this hope of freedom in 1908, have foreseen the powerful and destructive storm that blew between 1909 and 1915?
