Erken Dönem İslam Tarihinde Asabiyet

In this book, first the conceptual framework of asabiyyah was presented, and then, in line with this framework, the events of Islamic history were reviewed, starting from the period of ignorance to the end of the Umayyads, and the role of asabiyyah in the developing events was tried to be determined. In other words, in this book, which can also be described as the history of the concept of Asabiyyah, an asabiyyah-centered reading attempt has been made of the period from the period of ignorance to the end of the Umayyads.

The book generally has a political history perspective. However, there is a need to examine asabiyyah with the methods of different disciplines such as psychology, sociology, law and political science and to determine its role in the events as a whole. It is not an activity that can be tolerated. Therefore, this concept needs to be re-examined in various dimensions through interdisciplinary collaborative research. In this regard, our study should be considered a contribution to the reading of Islamic history and efforts to understand asabiyyah in terms of political history.
