- Emir Bedirhan; The last lord of Botan. In 1835, it became "Hakimê Kurdistan", it gradually became stronger, sermons were read in its name, factories were established for gunpowder production in Cizre, it sent students to Europe to train war and weapons experts, it started shipbuilding works in Lake Van, the "Kurdish government" founded, made Cizre the capital, and coins were minted in his name. He rebelled against the central government. He attracted some of his Ottoman supporters, was forced, and took refuge in Ewrex Castle. After resisting for months, the castle fell and was taken over. He was taken to Istanbul. He was exiled to Crete and died in Damascus.
And Mir's family… Bedirhanis. The family of Bedirhan Pasha, who is described as the "father of the Kurdish national movement", left its mark on the modern history of the Kurds. They achieved many "firsts" in Kurdish history.
In his book, Malmîsanij provides the genealogy of the Bedirhanis; From Mir Bedirhan, the legendary leader of the Kurds, to Mikdad Midhat, who published the first Kurdish newspaper, from ballerina Leyla Bedirhan to Vasıf Çınar, one of the first ministers of education of the republic, from Emin Ali Bedirhan to Tahir Kutay, from Celadet Ali Bedirhan, the "Hawar" of the Kurdish language. It introduces important actors of our history close to Ali Şamil Pasha, who suffered 25 wounds on his body during the Ottoman-Russian War.
There is also a small album at the end of the book, which presents a section of Istanbul in the 1920s with the minutes of the Bedirhani Family Association.
