İki Şiirin Arasında
Yekta Kopan is a writer who entrusts the stories he creates from the extended moments of life to the reader. The projections of the confrontations that we don't know where they seep into our souls turn into our own reckonings when they reach us from his pen. The little moments that we don't even notice, disperse throughout our lives, expand, and then continue forever. Either they are a Yekta Kopan story now or they have waited for their writer somewhere forgotten.
A price increase is a terrible thing. My father says every morning, "May God damn them, they've increased the prices again, you bastards!" He throws the newspaper on the ground in anger. "Put it on the floor properly!" says my mother, picking it up from the ground and folding it. If it were up to her, we would be paying money for these pieces of paper for nothing; they always give depressing news anyway. "I have a pleasure in this world of lies, don't interfere with that, woman!" says my father. My mother tugs at the hem of his vest. That’s it, the world is a lie.
