Amy's geneticist mother and war analysis expert father are hired by the Financial Resource Exchange to plant the first seeds of humanity and improve living conditions on a new planet. Since it will take three hundred years to reach the new planet and Amy is only seventeen years old, she joins her family on this journey with special permission.

One hundred scientists and war experts, including themselves, are frozen and placed in the cargo compartment of the ship to be awakened when the landing is made on the new planet three hundred years later. But before she says yes to this journey that will take hundreds of years, Amy has no idea that she will be woken up fifty years early. Moreover, he never expected to open his eyes to a brave new world that lives by its own rules.

From the moment Amy realizes that her awakening was not a technical malfunction, she enters a race against time to find the person who almost killed her. Because the freezing chamber has been unplugged and the names on the suspect list belong to the ship's inhabitants, which number several thousand people. On the ship, someone has unplugged the freezing chambers and escaped, and victims who were not noticed in time to thaw are drowning in the freezing liquid. If Amy doesn't do something soon, her family could be the next victims.

But one of the names on the suspect list means different things to Amy: the young, rebellious and intelligent Apprentice, the future leader of the ship, and a love interest that catches Amy unprepared.
