Birth of the Muslim Brotherhood 1928-1942
The Birth of the Muslim Brotherhood 1928-1942 Book Description
The nineteenth century is a very serious turning point for the Islamic world. In this century, the West's quest to dominate the world political balance was successful, and for the first time in the history of the Islamic world, it had to face such a severe external threat. Western elements were tried to dominate both in the political arena and at the level of social symbols, but the resistance movements initiated against this were represented in their most vivid form by social movements that set out with political demands around Islamic sensitivities.
The Muslim Brotherhood movement, around the above-mentioned concerns, is an Islamic life project belonging to the time period in which we were born, and as such, it has challenged the encroachment of western modernity. With this challenge, the Muslim Brotherhood became an important actor in the region. The developments in this period, when dictators were overthrown by popular rebellions, also revealed the power of the movement. The special importance of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, both for the Egyptian Islamic movements and for the Islamic movements in other communities of the Middle East, cannot be ignored. The Muslim Brotherhood served as a school for Sunni Islamic movements. Most Islamic movements in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine; All radical Islamic movements in Egypt were either derived from this movement or were founded by people who were previously members of it.
The present work tries to analyze the problem of the emergence of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, and unlike previous studies in this field, it focuses on the organizational forms, reform programs and ideological starting points of the Muslim Brotherhood.
