Thus, modern power has individualized, recorded, and digitalized the child by surrounding it with schools, the patient with hospitals, the insane with asylums, the military with the army, and the criminal with prisons, thus becoming dominant. When every person is registered somewhere, everyone will be under control and kept under surveillance. Modern power is great detention.
