This study, which consists of the impressions and observations of some eastern and western travelers who passed through Bitlis and its surroundings, will hold an exceptional place for those who are interested in the history and sociology of Bitlis. The compilations and articles in the second part of the study also draw special attention to forgotten, unknown or ignored historical events, personalities, periods and fluctuations. The information in the translations is of great importance for those doing research on the demographic structure of Bitlis and its surroundings.

These narratives, which touch upon a period of approximately 1000 years and large and small details during this time, are also important in terms of seeing the correct versions of what is known, or rather what is known as wrong.
