The Blind Owl was published by Varlik Publications in 1977 with the unforgettable translation of Behçet Necatigil. This cult novel, which Philippe Soupault described as "A masterpiece in the imaginative literature of the twentieth century" and Andre Breton as "If there is such a thing as a masterpiece, this is it", is again from Necatigil's translation, with Necatigil's "preface" ("Turkish We present it with "Sadik Hidayet on the 75th Anniversary of Iranian Literature and Its Birth") and Bozorg Alevi's "epilogue" ("The Biography of Sadik Hidayet").
