The basis of the egalitarian order that Sheikh Bedreddin and Börklüce Mustafa wanted to establish is equality between men and women. Börklüce Mustafa, who was brought to Selçuk with his two thousand followers after the Karaburun Rebellion, was crucified on a camel. His two thousand followers chanted, “Iris Dede Sultan!” They go to death without blinking their eyes... Is it a coincidence that the bright eyes of Börklüce Mustafa, who shines in the hands of Aydin, the most enlightened city of Anatolia, are tried to be extinguished in Selçuk?
