It is often interpreted as a prediction and criticism. It can perhaps be said that it contains a "hunch" about Nazi Germany. In the case of Josef K., who was faced with an accusation made by an inaccessible authority and whose nature was never explained, a religious or metaphysical authority could also be attributed to the court. It constructs an absurd legal system paradigm that associates it with "bad faith" and focuses on the criminal rather than the crime. This is a system that theoretically makes crime possible without any illegal action. However, when Kafka writes about crime, responsibility and freedom, he does not put forward a system or doctrine or offer a solution. If there is only one feature of this dark world vision that inevitably draws the reader in, it is its ambiguity.
