- Why was The Women's Version of the Mountain confiscated months later, rather than when it was first published? However, the book became a widely read and talked about source. It was in plain sight. Is it possible for such a well-known book to escape the attention of prosecutors? Or is it possible for one of the « acceptable citizens » of the state not to file a complaint?
