Close Contact with Human Species Book Description
Were there "cannibal" human societies at any time in history? How were monogamy and paternity born? What did the trademark big brain and walking on two legs cost us? How did our addiction to meat arise? Why and how did the skin colors of people in different regions differ? What did long-lived grandmothers contribute to human society? What kind of relationship did we have with Neanderthals? How did advances in medicine and technology with the development of civilization affect our evolutionary process?
Korean paleoanthropologist Sang-Hee Lee offers enlightening answers to key questions about human evolution in this book, which consists of articles written in a conversational manner with the reader.
"The twenty-two stories in this book were written inspired by the dialogues I had with students in the classroom and the moments I experienced directly or indirectly. The stories were written in article format in a way that I hope will be entertaining and interesting. I tried to explain these topics in a way that those who have no knowledge of paleoanthropology can understand. The origins of humanity." "I invite you to accompany me on this exciting journey."
