For Kurds, the concept of "Compulsory Settlement " is extremely important and not ordinary. In the 19th century, Kurdish principalities, and in the 20th century, mostly lords, sheikhs and tribal leaders were exiled and subjected to "Compulsory Resettlement". Those who resisted and did not leave were massacred...

Because "Compulsory Settlement" and exile, which constitute an important pillar of the state's genocide policy, and on-site judicial and extrajudicial executions have been important actions. The same policy was used before; Greek, Armenian, Assyrian, Kurd, Pontus, Yazidi, Alevi etc. It was applied to all non-Turkish and non-Islamic peoples. Wherever Istanbul, Izmir, Adana, Aydın, Samsun, Muğla, Balıkesir Thrace etc. The children of families who lived in important centers 120-150 years ago were essentially displaced and are no longer able to live there today. Those who survived abandoned their identities out of fear, assimilated, and most of them became "Noble Turks".

The exiles experienced in the 1980s and 1990s are very different. Now, village guard duty has been imposed on poor villagers, thus causing them to be exiled by dishonoring them, eliminating their means of survival and resources.

Kurdish intellectuals were not given the right to live in Kurdistan, within their own society. All means were tried so that the Kurds would not love their own land and country, would hate their own land and become alienated, that there would be no Kurdish community left in the Kurdish lands, that they would be dispersed and that Kurdistan would be left without Kurds. Many people were kidnapped and they were forced to take refuge in other countries and live as refugees.

The aim of this book is not to examine issues such as how the phenomenon of compulsory resettlement was thought of, how it was carried out, and what results it produced. The aim is to try to understand how the Kurdish exiles, which were intensively and widely implemented and implemented during the Kurdish resistance after the proclamation of the Republic, were perceived and explained by institutions such as the Turkish University, the Turkish press...

Under the influence of the Kemalist official ideology, one of the most important facts, the Kurdish nation, has been persistently and consciously excluded from analyzes and research. This is an understanding that considers everyone living in Turkey as a Turk.

In the book, only the phenomenon of Compulsory Settlement is examined.

In this research, some selected facts from the history of the republic were focused on how to approach the facts with the scientific method.
