Kriz ve Konjonktür Kuramları
Crisis and Business Cycle Theories from Adam Smith to Today
The crises in developing countries in the last quarter of the 20th century and the theoretical discussions on economic crises and cyclical fluctuations, the most ancient subject of economics, which came to the agenda "again" after the 2007-2008 World Crisis, are discussed in this book in the context of economics schools, in a way different from the studies done so far. .
In the book, which consists of two parts, firstly, the causes of crises and fluctuations in closed economy conditions are explained based on the basic ideas of Classical, Keynesian and Marxist economic schools regarding the functioning of the market economy. Within the framework of open economy conditions, in the second chapter, the discussion is expanded to include "globalization" conditions by taking into account the effects of short-term capital movements (hot money) liberalized with financial liberalization on conjunctures and crises. The book, which discusses the discussions in question comparatively and critically, aims to fill the gap that exists in this field, at least in Turkey.
