In the first two volumes of Henri Lefebvre's three-volume masterpiece, the Critique of Everyday Life, titled Introduction and Foundations of the Sociology of Everyday Life, the author focused on the criticism of real life, where power relations, commodity fetishism and alienation are reproduced every day, yet continue to be the real basis of change and revolutions. In this third volume, titled From Modernity to Modernism (Meta-Philosophy of Everyday Life), after a critique of the first two volumes, he deals with the crisis of modernity and technological modernism.

With this third volume of the Critique of Everyday Life, Lefebvre's magnificent work is completed. With this latest volume, Lefebvre aims to shed light on the changes taking place in daily life, while also revealing the virtualities that the everyday contains. In doing so, it examines the relationship between modernity and the everyday, how this relationship is transformed, and what potential negative effects this transformation may have on our daily lives.
