Critique of Religion - Description of 2 Books on Marxism and Theology I pointed out at the end of Critique of Heaven that I was laying out a roadmap for what might be called materialist theology, but I hesitate to use that label since it is so popular these days. What I have done in this work, which has now become a five-volume series (collectively titled Critique of Heaven and Earth), is to compile the various expositions I have received from these various Marxist critics. It's a bit like collecting various pieces of sawdust and then mulling over size and shape to see what you can make from them. Or to change the metaphor: after putting these expansions in my bag, I will sit in a quiet spot, lay them on the grass, rearrange them, search for connections and see if a logical system emerges from them. Of course, the “system” may be a bit ambitious. This is a way of thinking that lies at the intersection of Marxism and theology, or rather, it is a task that I can only accomplish if I fully immerse myself in the works of these Marxists engaged in theology.
