Dara Kurdish History and Research Set Arshak Poladyan was one of the first to conduct serious studies on the origins of the Kurds and their history in the centuries following Islam. In this study, which he published in Russian under the title of “Kurds According to Arab Sources in the 7th-10th Centuries”, which is a part of his doctoral thesis, scattered information about the Kurds in early Arab historical and geographical sources was classified and evaluated. Yusuf Baluken 9th-15th century Arab sources are of great importance for the study of the history of the Kurds in the 7th-10th centuries. Only with the help of these sources can we obtain information on issues such as how the Arabs conquered the Kurdish regions, the spread of Islam among the Kurds, and the role of the Kurdish factor in the caliphate. The information provided by Arabic-speaking historians, occasionally supported by information from the works of biographers and geographers, is very valuable for the study of the history of the Kurds in the 7th-10th centuries Arshak Poladyan DARA153 Dara Kurdish History and Research Set
