Sabah sagar refuge is in the pasture of Abdülaziz Mountain
Two days' stay from the saint's tomb
Evening comes, be milked, the mountain is a sheltered pasture
This is the rule of the saints, that he knows his wisdom.
(Seyyid Edna-i)
Dede Garkin lived in the 12th and 13th centuries. Dede Garkin is the founder of Mürsit Ocagi. The name Dede Garkin first appears in historical sources in the Baba Resul Incident, which took place in 1240.
Many minstrels and folk poets have been raised among the dedes and their followers of the Dede Garkin Lodge, which has settled in various regions of Anatolia from past to present. Some of the compilations in this study were compiled from the living families descended from these minstrels and poets, some were compiled from poems that have been passed down from word to mouth for centuries, and some were compiled from jongs.
