In this book, based on the belief of a wise father from the village of Akçapınar, which had no school, he started to study, became a professor at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electricity, which he entered as a student, did research and gave lectures at the University of California, Berkeley, for three years, and then returned to Turkey and graduated. I chatted with my friend Ahmet Dervişoğlu, who was the dean of his faculty for nine years. But the purpose of these conversations was to convey to you Ahmet Dervişoğlu 's values, his way of looking at life, and his love for humanity, rather than his academic achievements. Even though he is eighty years old today, I thought, there must be something to be learned from a person whose eyes are shining and who has managed to keep the child inside him alive. I believe that university students, teachers, administrators and parents will benefit from our conversation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
