Dictionary of Religion and Belief
It is a fact that social scientists and especially religious scientists working in Turkey have a shortage of Turkish works that they can use as reference books on the terminology of religious traditions. The few books on the subject currently available in Turkish are either translation-based and generally narrow-scope works by people unfamiliar with religious sciences (including the history of religions) or have been written hastily, amateurishly, with the sole purpose of filling the gap in the field, and contain outdated information on many subjects. The fact that there are books containing these studies causes these studies to be inadequate in terms of meeting the needs of people who are interested in religious sciences, work in this field and especially do research.
The Dictionary of Religion and Belief, which is the product of a study of approximately 5 years and deals with concepts and terms related to religious traditions and belief systems, aims to meet the need on the subject and to appeal not only to those who are interested in the field of religious sciences, studying or researching in this field, but also to all social scientists in general. .
