Eastern Dersim-Kurds, Armenians and Shah Huseyin Beys Book Description: Since the occupation forces destroyed the culture and history of the country, Kurdish leaders attached themselves to the leaders of the country whose culture was dominant in order to maintain their influence over the people. After the Arab invasion, important Kurdish figures connected themselves to the Arabs and gained sacred affiliations. Today, the number of sheikhs from sacred affiliations in Kurdistan seems to exceed the normal population. As a result of the discrediting and extreme oppression of the Republic, many Kurds abandoned their Kurdish identity by attaching themselves to the old Turkish tribes. This is not a behavior unique to Kurds. As Halil İnalcık points out, “every important Turkish dynasty tries to link its family to the Oğuz Khan genealogy in order to legitimize its sovereignty.” Shah Huseyin Bey family is a complete exception in this regard and is a first in the history of Kurdistan. By linking themselves to ancient Kurdish traditions, they have gained a well-deserved reputation in this regard. In this way, they both gained a sense of sanctity and managed to easily have their identity accepted by the people. The declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy did not end the Armenian-Kurdish conflict, but deepened it even further. Thus, friendships between Kurds and Armenians quickly turned into hostility. Ottoman governments in the 19th century. They kept repeating the game they had been playing since the 19th century. He leaned on the Armenians and put an end to the existence of the historical Kurdish emirates. When the Armenians became stronger and made national demands, he leaned on the Kurds and broke the power of the Armenians. Since the Committee of Union and Progress movement received the organized support it needed from the Armenians when establishing the Constitutional regime, it leaned on them and crushed the Kurdish feudalism that had become stronger during the reign of Sultan Hamid. When the Armenians put forward the reform bill that included national demands, this time they turned to the Kurdish feudal lords whom they had previously weakened. The CUP movement tried to gain strength by taking advantage of the weaknesses of the two peoples and came to power alone. Armenians and Kurds were tossed this way and that; They could not agree among themselves and take a common stand against their common enemy who oppressed them. The short-sightedness of their leaders prepared the end for both peoples; Armenians were completely destroyed in Anatolia in a genocide rarely seen in history, and Kurds lost their freedom.
