Aristophanes (450 BC?-388 BC?): There is not much accurate information about his life. Of the approximately forty plays he wrote, only eleven have survived to the present day. Famous for his quick and sharp tongue, Aristophanes is a great theater master who combined all the subtleties of the art of comedy with the testimony of his age. Women Deputies, similar to another comedy by Aristophanes, Lysistrata, is about women taking over the city administration. Under women's rule, the city and all properties will become common property for everyone, and there will be no legal cases anymore. Women Deputies, which is considered one of the first communist utopias along with Plato's Republic, is translated into Turkish from its Ancient Greek original for the first time.
