Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus
Mary Shelley (1797-1851): She is the daughter of William Godwin and Mary Wollstonecraft, two of the most important writers and philosophers of their time. In 1816, she married Percy Bysshe Shelley, a respected figure in English poetry who had a great influence on her works. He gained great fame with Frankenstein or Modern Prometheus, which he wrote in 1818 at a very young age and is considered one of the first examples of science fiction. Frankenstein, which attracted great attention at the time it was published due to its subject and the fact that its author was a woman, has continued to influence world literature and all other cultural products for nearly two centuries.
