German Literature
The Germanic Tribe, which was first mentioned in Tacitus' Germania, is considered the beginning of a literary heritage that has filtered through the centuries and is the source of many valuable achievements of today. The magnificent accumulation of German thought and literary tradition is also one of the indispensable support points of man's struggle to exist on an intellectual level. This study, which extends from the first written texts of German literature to the contemporary literary scene, evaluates the cornerstones of German writing in a context from the turbulent and shocking ruptures in the second half of the Twentieth Century to the unification after the nineties.
