Uruk Aslanı Gılgameş
“Joy is better than courage. It is the greatest power we know, and it includes courage, because courage is part of joy. Where there is joy, there is no room for fear. Try to preserve this joy, Gilgamesh, and share it with those close to you. Keep the smile of the red lion in your eyes..."
Gilgamesh took a deep breath. The taste of the air was so hot that it resembled death, but it was still promising.
Was this the paradise mentioned? So was this endless sand paradise or was the great garden, more wonderful than the fertile lands on the banks of the Euphrates River, even further away? Or was it beyond the yellow-brown dunes and pits stretching to the horizon?
Perhaps what happened was a race, but a very lonely race: Gilgamesh alone against the whole world...
Suddenly there was an indescribable show of joy. People were shouting with enthusiasm, screaming until their voices were hoarse, and jumping into each other's arms. Constant cheers were heard.
“Gil-ga-mesh, Gil-ga-mesh! Great ruler, lion of Uruk, lead us to happiness!
