Hegel's Aesthetics and Literary Theory 3
Onur Bilge Kula focuses on the concept of "particularity" in this third volume of his work on aesthetics and literary theory, which he prepared by examining Hegel's twenty-volume collected works. In this volume, where the system of singular arts is discussed, the relationship between singular forms of art is also questioned. The relationship between music and literature, which has the power to "produce the totality of beauty completely", in Hegel's words, is among the topics considered. What is the difference between prose and poetry? What is the essence of literature? How do Western and Eastern literatures differ according to Hegel? Focusing on these questions, Onur Bilge Kula reaches the concept of "artistic analysis" as a result and realizes Hegel's "last wish", which is "the idea of beauty and the true being connected to each other with an unbreakable bond".
