Although the origin of philosophy is the Mediterranean basin and Greek civilization, it is generally accepted that wisdom was found in the Far East and the Middle East before. In fact, with Henry Corbin's admission, we must state that we agree with the idea that wisdom first appeared in the Eastern world and passed from there to Egypt and from there to the Greeks. Our duty is to get rid of the inertia that has been thrown upon us by returning wisdom to its homeland and to regain the dynamism that thought gives.

We hope that this book will cause such activity. We believe that our place in the world we live in will be stronger and stronger as the Turkish nation regains its self-confidence. For this, we need to learn our own culture well. The Turkish nation is one of the Muslim nations that contributed the most to Islamic philosophy. In this regard, our nation's view of philosophy and the breakthroughs it has opened for humanity need to be seen and known.

The book you have is the result of a small effort to achieve this. Our aim is to include more Turkish thinkers in future editions.
