History of Philosophy Volume 3 Book Description In the first two volumes of Hegel's History of Philosophy, we followed the movement of thought starting from the geography of China and India to the Neo-Platonists, and the Third Volume drags us to Hegel himself, starting from the principle of Christianity. This 2500-year-old system of spiritual forms belonging to philosophy in its unfolding, “This long cortege of Spirits” is actually a speculative history of “the single kingdom of spirits, which is never plural”; It consists of countless attempts of the Finite Self-Consciousness testing itself in the Infinite, and appropriating this infinite, which it gradually externalizes, and the Infinite, which becomes increasingly immanent, signifies not only the process of self-consciousness becoming informed, but also the absolute reaching the reality that it lacks. In this respect, every outward movement of finite self-consciousness is also a withdrawal inward; enlarging the infinite is a deepening and expansion in the relational integrity of the finite. Then, in the history of thought, every perfection and completion in form, such that a loss of the thing in itself and the relationship of matter with form gradually becomes open to thought, are ultimately their identity. Immediately after Hegel, every politicized theory that does not give importance to the 'classical oppositions' of materialism and idealism and has to prefix it with the 'historical' suffix is the successor of this legacy, a new form of consciousness of the desire of Thought; Likewise, in the field of theory, the stage of politics is set by making the relations between mystified and mystified things accessible under the shadow of a historical dominant moment.
