Batı'da Siyasal Düşünceler Tarihi-Yakın Çağ
The History of Political Thoughts in the West, whose first edition was published in three volumes among Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences Publications in 1969, was published in an expanded form by Verso Publications in 1985, and then it is republished by our publishing house after being revised once again.
Mete Tunçay, who prepared this work, which has been sought for for years, for publication with a meticulous work, prefers the term "thought", which he uses when defining and explaining the views put forward on political effectiveness, to the concepts of "theory" and "doctrine", which are valid in this sense; He argues that these words include right or wrong and even "dogma", whereas "opinion" expresses impartiality as a concept, and this is a more appropriate expression considering that thoughts about politics have been widely confused throughout history.
This volume of the History of Political Thoughts in the West includes selected writings of Modern Age thinkers from Hegel to Mao Zedong. In this edition of the work, all texts and bibliographies have been reviewed, and instead of the writings of Antonio Gramsci in the previous editions, PA Kropotkin's selections and the correspondence between Einstein and Freud have been added.
