The Renaissance in Europe and its aftermath opens the door to the "Age of Enlightenment", which transforms the constantly developing human creative power and the religion- and God-centered social structure into a reason-centered social structure. It offers a brief look at the Industrial Revolution, which fueled colonialism movements with the successive Science Renaissance, Geographical Discoveries, and, in the light of all these developments, European History caught between two great wars.
